Emirates Inaugural Flight to Kabul Marked History

Emirates Airlines, the flagship carrier of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) started its newest service to Afghanistan on 4th Dec 2013 with daily flights from Dubai to Kabul and vise versa. 
Emirates Airlines is, by every measure, a global carrier and Kabul marks the one hundred thirty eighth destinations for this rapidly-growing commercial carrier, a company that now flies passengers to seventy eight countries on six continents.

The daily flight to Afghanistan’s capital city is the first destination in the country which Emirates has served. The route is operated by an Airbus A340-500 configured in a 3 cabin configuration, offering 12 First Class, 42 Business Class and 204 Economy Class seats.

Turkish Airlines makes Mazar-i-Sharif its second route to Afghanistan

Turkish Airlines commenced its second route to Afghanistan on 19 November 2013 linking Istanbul Atatürk (IST) and Mazar-i-Sharif (MZR). The Star Alliance member will operate twice weekly service on board Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Afghan residence in northern provinces were excited to see the inaugural flight take place since the plans to launch the route earlier this year was cancelled a couple of times. Dawi Oil Ltd was accredited as the into plane fuel supplier to Turkish airline’s second route as well after Kabul. Dawi Oil is proudly serving a long list of national and international airlines across Afghanistan in many locations such as  KBL, KAIA, MZR, HEA, KDH, BIN, UND, HLD  and very recently Urozgan-Trinkot branch was inaugurated.
