Dawi Oil to Provide Fuel for Hajj (Pilgrimage) Operation 2010

It is confirmed that 35.000 Afghan Hajjis will go to Saudi Arabia this year to attend the Hajj pilgrimage one of the fifth pillar of Islamic obligation. Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs announced this in a press conference in Kabul.

The transportation assignment of Hajjis from Afghanistan to Mecca deposited to Ariana Afghan and Kam Air, Airlines.

Dawi Oil Ltd as the leading aviation fuel distributor signed a contract of supplying 8000 MT of aviation fuel with a 20$ USD discount price per metric ton as the support and a gesture of willingness and support with Ariana Airline early month of November. Meanwhile, the transportation assignment of 5000 Afghan Hajjis from Afghanistan to Mecca granted to Kam Air, a private aviation company in Afghanistan.

Minister of Hajj and religious affairs also asked from the repeated, sick, and infected Hajjis not to apply this time. "It is utterly injustice to occupy a seat though you have been to Hajj pilgrimage several times. I can prove it according to Islam that it is inappropriate."

Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs with a close coordination with Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation and other relevant organizations, has been managing the Hajj operation at a time that Afghan Hajjis had been facing lots of challenges during the Hajj pilgrimage in the past years.
